Fairfax, VA— Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is pleased to announce the opening of the first store in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the city of Fairfax, VA. The store is located on Fairfax Boulevard just west of Fairfax Circle.
The opening of this new store is part of Freddy’s continued growth on the eastern seaboard of the U.S. The new Fairfax, VA location follows a successful opening in the Philadelphia market with a store that opened in Broomall, PA in December.
“We’ve consistently experienced a warm welcome from our guests whenever the Freddy’s family enters a new community,” said Scott Redler, Vice President and COO of Freddy’s and brother of Fairfax franchisee Barry Redler. “From California to Texas and now the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions, the Freddy’s approach to caring for our guests is simple; unwavering attention to exceptional hospitality with high quality, cooked-to-order food.”
“Freddy’s superior standards and family-friendly atmosphere are a perfect fit for the city of Fairfax. We’re proud to be a part of the community, both as residents and now as business-owners,” commented franchisees Barry and Beverly Redler, residents of Fairfax. “We are honored to bring the Freddy’s concept to the Northern VA area.”
The Fairfax location is a newly remodeled 4,000+ square foot stand-alone facility that becomes the largest Freddy’s restaurant in the U.S. The location features seating for over 140 guests, generous patio seating for outside dining and a drive-thru. The restaurant will be operated by Jason Ingermanson of JRI Management, a restaurant management veteran with extensive experience overseeing Freddy’s operations in several states. The Redlers have plans for additional locations in the Northern VA area.
Co-founded by Scott Redler and Bill, Randy and Freddy Simon, Freddy’s opened its first location in Wichita during 2002, offering a unique combination of cooked-to-order steakburgers, Chicago dogs, and other savory items along with its signature desserts prepared with premium frozen custard made fresh throughout the day. Freddy’s founders operate six locations in the Wichita Metro area and three in the Kansas City market. Eighty franchise units serve other areas of Kansas and Missouri as well as Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas and now Virginia. For 2013, Freddy’s was again named among Entrepreneur Magazine’s “Franchise 500®”. In 2012, besides Entrepreneur Magazine’s recognition for that year, Freddy’s was included among Inc.
